Resilience is not a fixed trait. It is a set of trainable skills — and the evidence for that is unusually strong. A meta-analysis of CBT for resilience in adults found a standardised mean difference of 0.73 post-intervention, rising to 1.17 at follow-up. The gains grew after the intervention ended.
